Position: General Production Worker/ Warehouse Worker $19-20/hr

General Production Worker

This role focuses on the manufacturing and assembly of fuel cell components and modules in a clean, modern production facility. You will work in a very hands-on environment, feeding and operating manual, semi-automated, and fully automated production lines, as well as assembling mechanical and electro-mechanical components into finished fuel cell modules. You will follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and drawings while performing basic quality checks to ensure products meet defined standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture and assemble fuel cell components and modules according to detailed work instructions and procedures.
  • Operate and support manual, semi-automated, and fully automated production lines in a hands-on capacity.
  • Feed production lines with raw materials that are coated, pressed, heated, and processed to create fuel cell stacks.
  • Create fuel cell stack components by combining anodes, cathodes, and electrolyte mixtures, pressing them into sheets, and preparing them for heat treatment, trimming, stacking, and final assembly.
  • Perform mechanical, electro-mechanical, and basic electronic assembly tasks to build complete fuel cell modules.
  • Assemble both large and small components, including sub-assemblies, in accordance with blueprints, drawings, and written instructions.
  • Install wiring, components, and fittings on assembly units to complete fuel cell assemblies.
  • Use basic measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to perform quick quality checks and verify product specifications.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including the use of required personal protective equipment and adherence to facility rules.
  • Participate in cross-training across different areas of the facility to support multiple production functions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area within the production environment.
  • Engage in performance discussions and reviews at 30, 60, and 90 days to align on attendance, performance, and quality expectations.

Essential

Skills:

  • At least 6 months of experience in an industrial environment, such as manufacturing, automotive repair, construction, or other assembly-focused roles.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to perform basic mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and basic drawings or blueprints.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Comfort working in a hands-on production environment with manual, semi-automated, and fully automated equipment.
  • Ability to perform basic quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Reliability in attendance and adherence to established schedules and performance expectations.

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Wiring or electronic assembly experience is a strong plus.
  • Willingness to be cross-trained and to work in multiple areas of the facility as needed.
  • Openness to structured feedback through regular performance reviews and defined metrics.
  • Interest in long-term growth and advancement through level-based roles (Level I, II, III).
