Position: School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Torrington, CT

• July 1-2, 8:30 am-2:00 pm (2 days)
• July 6-9, 8:30 am-2:00 pm (4 days)
• July 13-16, 8:30 am-2:00 pm (4 days)
• July 20-23, 8:30 am-2:00 pm (4 days)
• July 27-28, 8:30 am-2:00 pm (2 days)
  No Fridays are required, allowing for work-life balance and long weekends.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active LPN or LVN license in Connecticut
• Prior experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong skills in assessment, medication administration, and clinical documentation
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• CPR certification required

Expectations and Key Duties:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per student care plans
• Provide first aid, manage minor illnesses, and respond to emergencies
• Maintain clear health records in accordance with school policies
• Serve as a supportive resource for students, staff, and families
• Participate in supporting students with chronic health needs
• Adhere to established health and safety procedures
