The Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) - Med/Surg is responsible for supervising patient care, clinical personnel, and unit operations. This role is ideal for experienced RNs looking to take on leadership responsibilities in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• Location: Torrington, CT
• Facility: Charlotte Hungerford Hospital
• Schedule: Full Time, Evening shift

• Supervise patient care and clinical personnel.
• Oversee daily operations of the assigned department.
• Manage resources and quality improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain colleague schedules.
• Monitor patient throughput to facilitate efficient clinical operations.
• Ensure a safe and therapeutic unit environment.
• Work as a staff RN to assist as needed.
• Participate in and may lead Performance Improvement work.

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; MSN preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience preferred;
  Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience required

  Certifications:
  
  
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the State of CT
  • Certified BLS provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Certification in a specialty area required within 3 years of start date
