Vehicle Lift Repair & Maintenance Technicians needed in Torrington!
This Direct-Hire opportunity is seeking a Vehicle Lift Repair & Maintenance Technician to support ongoing service, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of automotive lift systems and shop air equipment. We want to speak with candidates who are experienced handymen to certified Auto Lift Inspectors!
This role is hands-on and technical, involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic work, with occasional new lift installations. Ideal candidates come from equipment repair, forklift service, electrical‑mechanical trades, or similar field‑service backgrounds.
Responsibilities- Repair & Maintenance — Perform repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting on 2-post, 4-post, and heavy‑duty vehicle lifts, including hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components
- Shop Equipment Service — Service lift racks, shop equipment, and air compressors, including basic air piping and shop‑air connections
- Piping & Plumbing Support — Assist with lube and oil piping/plumbing as needed (training provided)
- Lift Installations — Complete occasional new lift installations, including anchoring, leveling, torquing, and setup
- Documentation — Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate clearly with customers
- Travel Requirements — Travel within a 100-mile radius of Torrington, CT, using a company‑provided truck
- Tools — Maintain personal hand tools; specialty tools provided
Schedule is 1st Shift / Monday – Friday / 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, overtime available. Pay rate is $25.00 – $40.00+ per hour, depending on experience.

- Tools Requirement — Must supply personal hand tools
- Travel & Licensing — Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily
- Problem Solving — Strong problem‑solving skills and customer‑service mindset
