Youth Peer Advocate – Thomaston
The Youth Peer Advocate position will function as a member of the Prevention Department at the McCall Behavioral Health Network. The peer advocate will be a key member of the Partnerships for Success 2023 underage drinking prevention initiative within the town of Thomaston, Connecticut. The position is paid at a rate of $18 an hour with an allotment of 12 hours per week.
Days and hours are flexible.
Part time / Non-Exempt
12 hours weekly / $18.00/hour
QUALIFICATIONS- Currently a resident of Thomaston
- Between the ages of 16 and 24;
Thomaston high school student strongly preferred. - Strong interest in substance abuse prevention.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must display interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse populations, including but not limited to youth, schools, law enforcement and community leaders.
