Job OverviewTorrington Middle School in Torrington, Wyoming, is accepting applications for three Special Education Paraprofessional positions for the 2026‑27 school year. The school serves students in grades 6‑8.
Position Details- School‑year, 150‑day positions.
- Start date:
August 17, 2026, contingent upon completion of all district pre‑employment requirements. - Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, retirement benefits, and paid leave in accordance with district policy.
The Paraprofessional – Special Education will support instruction within the assigned classroom with specific responsibilities including:
- Assisting in the supervision, care and instruction of special education students in the regular classroom or in a self‑contained classroom.
- Assisting in implementing plans for instruction.
- Monitoring student behavior during non‑classroom time.
- Providing information to appropriate school personnel.
- Attending IEP meetings if required.
Positions report to the building principal., or until filled.
Qualifications- Job‑related experience desired but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Required testing:
Para Pro Assessment Test or 48+ credits on college transcripts. - Continuing education:
Level I CPI Training, or equivalent, within 6 months of hire and annual renewal if required. - Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
