Goshen County School District #1 in Torrington, Wyoming, is accepting applications for four secondary Special Education Paraprofessional positions for the 2026–2027 school year. These positions are located at Torrington High School, which serves students in grades 9-12, and the Compass Academy, which supports students ages 18‑21 in the district's instructional/vocational program.

These are school-year, 150‑day positions that include a comprehensive benefits package with medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement benefits, and paid leave in accordance with district policy. Candidates must meet the highly‑qualified requirements for paraprofessional positions. The start date is August 17, 2026, contingent upon the successful completion of all district pre‑employment requirements.

• Provide support to the instructional program within the assigned classroom.
• Assist in the supervision, care, and instruction of special education students in the regular classroom or in a self‑contained classroom.
• Assist in implementing plans for instruction.
• Monitor student behavior during non‑classroom time.
• Provide information to appropriate school personnel.
• Attend IEP meetings if required.

• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Job‑related experience is desired but not required.
• Para Pro Assessment Test or 48+ college credits on transcripts.
• Valid driver license and evidence of insurability.
• Level I CPI Training, or equivalent training, within 6 months of hire and annual training renewal if required.
• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
