Salary: $60,598 – $66,889 annually (actual amount depends on education and experience).
Job Summary:
The Director is a full-time, benefitted, federal and state grant‑funded, Professional staff D62 categorized position. The position is responsible for all facets of the College & Career Readiness Center, inclusive of workforce literacy, Bridge programming, Integrated Education and Training (IET), digital and financial literacy, high school equivalency certificate (HSEC), and English as a Second Language (ESL) instructional programs serving the six‑county Service Area.
The Director oversees all Service Area locations for Adult Education, administers AE policies and procedures, prepares year‑end grant reports, creates and executes the AE annual budget, plans and conducts program activities, purchases required items, and supervises, hires and trains all AE and related program instructors. Other duties include program marketing, database management, develop and maintain working partnerships with employers, Vocational Rehabilitation, and the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, and participation in NEXTGEN sector partnership meetings.
A thorough understanding of AE, Workforce, Bridge programming, HSEC, and ESL programs, their objectives, and student requirements is necessary. Strong organization, communication, and leadership skills are needed to meet program requirements and work effectively in the position.
- Develop, update, standardize, and implement all program curricula as approved/directed by federal or state mandates; envision and continually develop new program requirements & instructional techniques
- Standardize testing protocols in accordance with State guidelines for AE; ensure all AE instructors are provided the necessary training to administer required exams
- Recruit and enroll students into AE and related programs for instruction and testing
- Supervise and evaluate the work and performance of instructors utilizing State approved methodologies and criterion
- Coordinate, develop, and launch multiple AE programming types as required by grant objectives
- Write and submit federal/state AE and related program grants; administer grant funds, maintain accurate reporting, and prepare all required reports
- Ensure AE marketing materials are disseminated across the Service Area, particularly at Outreach sites
- Develop and maintain partnerships with employers and other service providers
- Serve on committees/councils; represent EWC at the state and national levels when attending meetings
- Develop and provide yearly AE professional development training(s) for instructors
- Enter, verify, and monitor info compiled in the AE database(s); ensure accuracy
- Compile statistical data of AE and related program activities; utilize data to conduct data dives to evaluate program performance
- Develop contextualized curricula as required
- Perform all other duties of a similar nature or level as assigned
- Bachelor degree in Management, Business, Adult Education, Education, or related field from an accredited institution
- Four years’ experience working in Adult Education, working with at‑risk population, teaching literacy, ESL, Adult Education classes, and curriculum development experience
- Current and valid state‑issued Driver’s License
- Demonstrated proficiency with a computer workstation and MS Office applications
- Master Degree in Management, Business, Adult Education, Education, or related field from an accredited institution
- Federal or State grant writing and management experience
- Experience in coordinating postsecondary enrollments
- Experience in developing programs of study for dual/concurrent enrollments
- Experience in establishing solid partnerships in local communities to ensure wraparound services are provided
