Overview
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Naph Care is hiring for a role in the Wyoming Department of Corrections – Medium Correctional Facility in Torrington, WY. A full‑time or part‑time position may be available. As a correctional CNA, you will work under a registered nurse’s supervision alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care for residents. You will assist physicians, conduct patient history and vital sign assessments, support administrative tasks, and play a vital role in delivering care to a diverse, complex patient population.

Clinical Duties:
- Assist with performing patient assessments; interview patients about current health problems and medication history.
- Take vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, respiration, and weight.
- Document medical history, medications, treatment, and medical conditions.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) – bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Provide basic wound care, basic laboratory tests, basic patient education and instructions.
- Observe and report changes in patients’ physical or mental health to nurses.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
- Maintain inventory of medical and office supplies.
- Answer phones, emails and other forms of communication.
Requirements / Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant in AZ.
- Ability to obtain BLS CPR certification (AHA preferred).
- Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and adhere to a code of conduct and facility policies.
- Must pass the facility’s criminal background check and drug screening.
Physical Capabilities: Must be able to stand for long periods, lift or move patients up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks such as CPR, while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
