Position: 94E Radio and Communications Security Repairer

Overview

Army National Guard communications must stay secure. As the Radio and Communications Security Repairer, you will maintain equipment and systems that ensure Army National Guard units can communicate over secure channels.

Job Duties
  • Install and repair circuits and wiring
  • Calibrate and align equipment components
  • String overhead cables between utility poles
  • Repair systems, perform equipment tests, and conduct preventive maintenance checks and services
  • Advanced roles include training and supervising other Soldiers, testing equipment, performing complex repairs, and ensuring National Security Agency-approved components are used in communication security/controlled cryptographic item repairs

Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to pursue civilian careers in radio repair, radio mechanics, teletype repair, or station installation.

Earn While You Learn

In the Army National Guard, you will learn valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance.

After 10 weeks of Basic Training, you will attend Advanced Individual Training (AIT) for 16 weeks of classroom instruction, including practice with equipment. You will learn mechanical, electronic, and electrical principles, preventive maintenance procedures, and communication security policies and procedures.
