Job Description
Experience: Mid Level
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per year
Job Details---------
ResponsibilitiesProcess Control & Optimization
- Monitor and maintain all stages of the anodizing line, including cleaning, etching, desmutting, anodizing, dyeing, and sealing.
- Optimize process parameters such as temperature, voltage, current density, bath chemistry, and dwell times.
- Analyze process data to identify trends and implement continuous improvements.
Chemical Management
- Maintain proper chemical concentrations and balance in process tanks through regular testing and adjustments.
- Develop and refine chemical treatment procedures to improve coating quality and consistency.
- Coordinate with suppliers on chemical usage, replenishment, and waste treatment.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure anodized coatings meet required specifications for thickness, corrosion resistance, color consistency, and adhesion.
- Investigate defects (e.g., burning, streaking, uneven coating) and implement corrective actions.
- Support audits and maintain documentation for quality standards (e.g., ISO, customer specifications).
Equipment & Maintenance Support
- Work closely with maintenance teams to ensure proper functioning of rectifiers, pumps, filtration systems, and conveyors.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues affecting the process line.
- Recommend upgrades or modifications to improve system reliability and efficiency.
- 3-7 years of experience in a related job role or in chemical processing or surface finishing, preferably in aluminum anodizing
- Bachelor's degree Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field with knowledge of technical subject matter
- Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described, including an internship in a relevant trade.
Experience:
- Strong understanding of electrochemistry and metal finishing processes
