Industrial Mechanical Assembler
The Industrial Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing mechanical components and subassemblies used in industrial equipment and machinery. This role requires the ability to read technical drawings, use hand and power tools, and ensure that all assemblies meet quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and complete systems according to blueprints to build industrial packaging machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to ensure proper assembly
- Drilling, tapping, and mounting of equipment and enclosures
- Align, fit, and secure parts using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify tolerances
- Inspect finished assemblies to ensure quality standards and specifications are met
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, making adjustments or repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of work completed, including production and quality records
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- High school diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related field
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
This is a Permanent position based out of Totowa, NJ.
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
