North Middlesex Regional High School is looking for a qualified candidate for the  school year to teach High ELA and Social Studies. The selected candidate will:

• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of each student, and encourages mutual respect and effective learning.
• Plan lessons that employ a variety of 21st‑century learning instructional strategies that, when implemented, strive to meet the needs and capabilities of each student based on assessment data in your classroom.
• Follow district curriculum goals and objectives to write appropriate lesson plans designed to meet the learning needs of each student in your classroom.
• Understand how students learn and develop and provide opportunities that support their growth in cognitive, linguistic, creative, social, moral, emotional, and physical development.
• Assess students to provide feedback to the teacher, students, parents, and administration regarding student growth, meeting expectations, and goals.
• Utilize data from standardized tests and a variety of formative and summative assessments to drive instruction.
• Complete other relative teaching duties as required in accordance with MA curriculum frameworks.

• Education and Experience:
  
  Master’s Degree preferred;
  Bachelor’s Degree required with prior teaching experience, preferably in a high school setting, or any combination of education and work experience. Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with certification at grades 5‑12.
• Skills and Ability:
  Apply knowledge of current research and theory to the instructional program; plan and implement lessons based on district objectives and student needs and abilities; establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers, and parents; effective oral and written communication skills.
