Welcome to Squannacook Early Childhood Center

Squannacook Early Childhood Center, located in Townsend, is an integrated pre-school serivng students ages 3
-5 of the three memeber towns of the North Middlesex Regional School District.

Job Requirements
  • Qualifications:

    Experience working with young children and children diagnosed with Autism and/or students with significant social/emotional/behavioral disorder(s)
    ABA experience- implementing behavior plans, teaching using ABA methodology in discrete trial and incidental contexts
    Good communication skills
    Ability to take feedback, seek feedback, interact and communicate with a variety of staff
    Provide support in low staff-to-student ratio in intensive full-day classroom
    Support includes prompting, modeling and reinforcing social interactions
    Modeling and facilitating appropriate play/interaction skills
    Ensuring attending and responding to classroom teacher and support staff
    Implement behavior plans
    Collecting data on student's IEP benchmarks (e.g. attending, responding, play, initiating, behavior data)
    Communicating target student needs to classroom staff (e.g. need specific item, learning area or direction given)
    Communicate observations, student needs, concerns to BCBA/classroom teacher/case manager
    When applicable:
    Run discrete teaching trials (language, communication, pre-academic, social-pragmatic, self-help skills, etc.) in 1:1 or 1:2 group setting.
  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
