About the RoleOur client is seeking a Business Development & Customer Relationship Manager to drive revenue growth, strengthen client relationships, and build a scalable account management function across their regional footprint. This role plays a critical part in expanding market presence while ensuring alignment between sales strategy and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities- Own the full business development lifecycle, from prospecting and relationship building through proposal development, contract negotiation, and close
- Identify and secure new commercial landscaping opportunities across Maryland, Washington, D.C., Northern Virginia, and North Carolina
- Build and maintain strong relationships with property managers, developers, general contractors, and municipal clients
- Conduct site walks and client consultations to assess needs and recommend tailored service solutions
- Develop and manage a disciplined sales pipeline aligned with short‑ and long‑term growth objectives
- Partner closely with estimating and operations teams to ensure accurate scoping and consistent service delivery
- Represent the organization at industry events and trade shows, supporting brand visibility and relationship development
- Cultivate and manage existing client relationships to drive retention, service expansion, and long‑term satisfaction
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management within the commercial landscaping industry
- Proven ability to grow accounts, manage pipelines, and close complex commercial opportunities
- Established network within property management, construction, or real estate development sectors preferred
- Experience leading, mentoring, or coaching account managers or sales team members
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple states
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite; LMN or Aspire experience is a plus
- Willingness and ability to travel regionally, including trade shows, a few times per month
