Associate Product Manager – Hybrid - Towson, Maryland or Valley City, Ohio

The Outdoor Power Equipment Division of Stanley Black & Decker is seeking an Associate Product Manager for the Residential Ride-On product team. This hybrid role provides the opportunity to expand and maintain major product lines targeting residential lawn maintenance.

• Direct and coordinate strategic marketing activities to achieve operating plans.
• Overall responsibility for profitability, promotion, pricing, merchandising and new product plans for anchors and fasteners within the C&I channel.
• Work with Commercial teams, Product, Brand, Supply Chain and Finance to develop strategic initiatives.
• Present new products, merchandising and promotional strategies to buyers and execute market communication plans and new product launches.
• Interface with Brand Marketing for production of point of purchase materials.
• Analyze and track POS, inventory, market share, and competitive landscapes.
• Track program/promotional effectiveness and recommend changes and improvements.
• Collaborate with Sales and Finance to manage listings, maximize sales and profitability via mix management, promotional opportunities, and pricing actions.
• Provide technical sales field support – submittals, standardized training decks, competitive cross references.
• Support third‑party sales reps, including commission reports, performance updates and inventory/warehouse coordination.
• Make sound business decisions to drive top and bottom lines, driven by a holistic understanding of the channel P&L.
• Travel 15% of the time. Hybrid work model: 3 days per week in office located in Towson, MD or Valley City, OH.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in product management, engineering, or closely related field.
• Hands‑on experience with the equipment they will manage.
• Ability to interact with end users and identify opportunities to streamline their work.
• Financial acumen and analytical ability with a strategic mindset.
• Strong research skills and ability to influence strategy based on results.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to author and clearly present product updates to key stakeholders.
• “Can‑do” attitude with a desire to go above and beyond.
• Collaborative mindset balanced with a high level of autonomy.

Salary range: $51,700 – $83,300 annually.
