As a Franchise Compliance Analyst within our Operations department, you will be responsible for monitoring activities of Senior Helpers franchisees to ensure that each franchise complies with the terms of their Franchise Agreement(s), as well as the Franchise System Standards set forth by Senior Helpers. The position will perform analytical, forensic audits, and investigative services to ensure accountability standards. Franchise audits are essential for assessing compliance, financial health, and maintaining consistency across franchise networks, with regular evaluations of operational standards, financial obligations, and brand adherence.
The ideal Compliance Analyst is a proficient expert in the management and collection of documentation while monitoring and maintaining the organization's contractual compliance with the Franchisees. The Analyst must be a self-starter, innovative, and adaptable to the needs of Corporate and franchise owners. This role also works cross-functionally with Senior Helpers' Operations, Financial, and Legal teams, among others, to support consistent compliance across the franchise network.
Duties
- Plan and execute franchise compliance reviews to assess adherence to Franchise Agreements, System Standards, and corporate policies.
- Determine the scope, objectives, and approach for each review and collect, analyze, and document information to support audit findings.
- Identify, investigate, and document areas of non-compliance, operational inconsistencies, and potential violations; develop and monitor corrective action plans to ensure timely resolution.
- Prepare audit and compliance reports that clearly communicate findings, risks, conclusions, and recommendations to management.
- Utilize available systems, tools, and data sources to investigate irregularities and validate compliance.
- Communicate review progress, findings, and recommendations to management in a clear, actionable, and timely manner.
- Ensure franchisees maintain all required licenses, permits, and insurance coverage, including workers' compensation, and work with franchise owners to resolve deficiencies.
- Conduct financial audits and reviews of key financial records, including invoices, care logs, gross sales reports, and tax returns.
- Perform financial analytics to investigate under reported sales, reporting discrepancies, and other compliance-related concerns.
- Identify financial reporting gaps, process control weaknesses, and potential revenue leakage opportunities through detailed analysis and reconciliation procedures.
- Partner with the Finance team to support royalty validation, financial investigations, and audit-related analyses.
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to develop and enhance reporting tools used to monitor franchise compliance, revenue, billing, and client care activity.
- Present findings, trends, and recommendations to leadership in a clear, actionable manner.
- Partner with Legal, Operations, and Finance teams to escalate concerns, resolve issues, and support enforcement of franchise standards.
- As needed, travel to Senior Helpers franchise locations to perform field audits, including, but not limited to, documentation review, financial statement and payroll record audits, client home care agreement review, up-to-date insurance certificate verification, and new hire and personnel file review.
- Support the continuous development and enhancement of franchise audit programs and compliance monitoring procedures.
- Two (2) years of legal, financial, or franchise compliance experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related field. High level of experience considered in lieu of degree
- Experience navigating a profit and loss and balance sheet.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to collect information, investigate, recognize patterns/potential inconsistencies, and unravel puzzles.
- Ability to utilize critical thinking and a data-driven analytics mindset to provide management with clear, actionable results and recommendations.
