Cruise Baltic and Cruise Norway updated the Itinerary Planner tool to offer greater accuracy.
The digital platform , which has evolved over the years to meet the industry's changing needs, is designed to assist cruise lines in planning their itineraries by providing information about port availability and key port data across the Baltic Sea region and Norway .
The latest update comes as part of ongoing improvements aimed at increasing the tool's reliability. Nevertheless, cruise lines should still contact ports directly to make bookings and to check for any last-minute changes.
Smoother itinerary planning‘The new Itinerary Planner is a game-changer for cruise lines,’ said Klaus Bondam, director of Cruise Baltic. ‘By ensuring more reliable data, we are making it easier for cruise lines to plan their itineraries…’
Monica Berstad, MD, Cruise Norway, added, ‘For many years, we have seen success with our Cruise Calendar, which evolved into the Itinerary Planner. It’s incredibly rewarding to finally have Cruise Baltic fully integrated into this tool, creating a unified, reliable resource for cruise lines looking to plan their itineraries across the Baltic Sea and Norway.’
She described the collaboration as ‘an exciting step forward for the cruise industry in our region.’
The updated Itinerary Planner introduces a user-friendly feature that allows cruise lines to access comprehensive port information with a simple click. Under each port’s name, itinerary planners can quickly view essential details, including port capacity, shore power information, available services, restrictions, facilities and contact information.
It also encourages flexibility, showing alternative ports if a preferred destination is unavailable on the desired date or has many ships in port.
‘We hope that the Planner will not only make planning easier but also inspire cruise lines to consider other fantastic destinations they may not have originally planned for,’ Bondam concluded.
