Job DescriptionOur Theology Department is searching for a caring, career-minded professional to teach theology in a department that strives to bring to life "a faith that does justice." The position may include teaching at all levels from 9th through 12th grade. The teacher will work in a dynamic, collaborative, and technology rich environment with fellow teachers to create an educationally sound and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Be willing to teach 8th grade theology, Foundations of Catholic Morality (9th), Sacred Scripture (10th), and at least one of our electives:
Catholic Social Thought, Ethical Decisions, Ignatian Spirituality, introduction to Philosophy, or World Religions - Teach a full course load; 5 classes and emergency proctoring
- Participate in co-curricular, service and retreat opportunities with students
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Religious Studies or Theology. Master's degree is preferred.
- The position requires the candidate to be a practicing Catholic.
- The ability to demonstrate how theological concepts apply to everyday life.
