We are seeking afull-time Spanishteacherwho can teach a wide range of courses from beginning to intermediate. In addition to teaching, there is a strong preference for someone who will be involved in our extensive co-curricular program, whether in athletics or activities.
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Spanishoradegree in education with a concentration in Spanish
A master’s degree is preferred
Previous Spanishteaching experience in a school setting will be considered as a substitute for a language degree
Preference for individuals withtheability to teach a second language or other contentareas
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of best practices, strong instructional strategies, and effective pedagogical techniques is essential
- Works well in a team-teaching environment.
Develops and administers a balance of traditional and alternative assessment - Maintains the classroom environment, encouraging discussion and student engagement
- Provides support for our students both in the classroom and outside of class time
COMPENSATION:
The salary range for this position ranges from $44,500 to $70,000 annually and is commensurate with education and experience. This position is eligible for full-time benefits,including personal and sick leave benefits.
