Early Childhood Coach
Abilities Network, is looking for an Early Childhood Coach to join our Project ACT program. Project ACT serves Maryland's early childhood community to promote high quality care for all children through training and coaching. Early Childhood Coaches provide training and technical assistance and provide supportive and high quality assistance to address concerns and work cooperatively with child care programs to address the needs of programs serving children under age 6 as well as out of school time programs.

As an Early Childhood Coach, you will have a direct impact on the success of the Project ACT program by providing high quality training and reflective coaching to educators and community members.
This position is a hybrid position and requires availability to work some evenings and weekends with occasional overnight travel.
The starting rate of pay for this position is $45,000 per year and is non-negotiable.

Assist childcare centers, family childcare homes and other child serving programs to implement universal strategies that promote a high quality childcare environment, support programs with the Maryland EXCELS program.
Provide needed connections with resources to support participation and advancement through the levels of EXCELS.
Serve as a coach and mentor to early childhood educators to support the creation of developmentally appropriate settings and implementation strategies for the purpose of supporting all children.
The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
· BA/BS Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Psychology or a related field.
· A minimum of 4 years' experience working with children under age 6 and their families in an early childhood program.
· Coursework in curriculum and child development.
· Group training experience.
· Fluency in Spanish preferred.
Knowledge of child care systems including Maryland EXCELS, accreditation, environmental rating scales and training requirements.
Experience with curriculum and training development.
Experience with reflective and/or practice based coaching.
Excellent oral and written communication with a demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles
Comfortable with all types of technology i.e. proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Maintains flexible and collaborative work ethic
