A Non-Merit vacancy exists in the Clinical Services/Women, Infants & Children (WIC), Department of Health and Human Services.
Non-Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan.
A list of eligible applicants will be established based on the examination as outlined below.
Current and future vacancies occurring in any Office or Department of Baltimore County General Government may be filled from the list of eligible applicants.

Under general supervision, provides outreach services to women of reproductive age, newly pregnant women, and women who have recently delivered. These outreach services include addressing the need for smoking cessation, obesity interventions and sharing information to clients about prenatal care, health insurance to cover this care and services for family planning.

Possession of a high school diploma or appropriate equivalent plus Two (2) years of clerical experience which includes public interaction. (Additional education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years.)
Ability to speak Spanish fluently.
Licenses and CertificatesPossession of a valid driver’s license equivalent to a non-commercial, class C Maryland driver license is required at the time of application.
Proof of Licenses, Certifications and EducationApplicants are required to submit proof of licenses, certifications and education beyond high school to meet the required and preferred qualifications of the position. Diplomas or transcripts must show the applicant’s major field of study. Copies and unofficial transcripts are acceptable.

Applicants will be qualified based on an evaluation of their training and experience, as stated on their application, which includes answers to the supplemental questions. Applicants must state the dates and duties of past and present experience clearly and completely for evaluation purposes.
Persons appointed to this classification may be required to work occasional weekends and evenings.

Physical and Environmental ConditionsThe work of this classification is generally sedentary, but may require some traveling throughout the County and lifting and carrying in the set up of educational displays and presentations.
