Join the team as a Quality & Commissioning Manager at Aligned Data Centers. This role works closely with Design, Construction, and Operations teams to ensure data center projects meet operational and commissioning requirements.
Responsibilities- Oversee the design, quality installation, and testing of all components, materials, equipment, and systems.
- Execute procurement strategy, solicit, review, and recommend awards of third‑party personnel for all projects.
- Coordinate MEP systems across hyperscale data center projects, collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Lead and manage MEP coordination efforts, ensuring alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to maintain consistency and excellence.
- Attend construction progress meetings and preinstallation job site meetings to stay informed on progress.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external team members, including staff, contractors, vendors, and commissioning agents.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise and train 3rd‑party personnel on Aligned Quality & Commissioning Programs.
- Report status, successes, challenges, and plans of action to the management team on a timely basis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred; extensive relevant experience will be considered.
- 5–7+ years of experience in mission‑critical construction with large, sophisticated mechanical and electrical systems and data center commissioning experience.
- Strong working knowledge of data center design across various North American geographies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and other industry computer applications.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, written and verbal presentation, and team‑building skills.
- Competency in CPM scheduling methods, construction cost estimating, proposal generation, document management, and contract administration.
- Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
