  • Plan, direct, and monitor mid-to-large, multi‑discipline projects with significant technical complexity.
  • Coordinate with project managers and cross‑functional teams to develop schematics, design development, and contract documents.
  • Oversee deliverables to ensure quality, clarity, and compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.
  • Manage staffing and workflow to meet schedules and budgets; support project reviews.
  • Implement and enforce QA/QC procedures; review and seal bridge plans as appropriate.
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid‑level engineers; contribute to training efforts.
  • Participate in client relations, proposal support, and occasional business development.
  • Conduct or support hands‑on bridge condition inspections as needed (comfortable working at heights).
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (ABET‑accredited required);
    Master's in Structural Engineering preferred.
  • PE license (or ability to obtain via reciprocity within ~6 months).
  • 10+ years of progressive bridge/structural design experience with client‑facing project management.
  • Strong technical design skills, leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with bridge/structural analysis and design tools (e.g., LEAP, LARSA, LPile, MDX, AASHTOWare, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of Micro Station/Open Roads/Bridge (or comparable CAD/BIM platforms) is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for projects/inspections as needed.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, collaboration, and mentoring.
Why This Role

  • Hybrid/flexible work options and interoffice collaboration to broaden project exposure.
  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, which typically include:
    • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
    • 401(k) with a 6% company match
    • Employee ownership program - 5-6%
