Electrical Engineer II: Building Systems Designer

Our client, a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm, is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join their growing team in Towson, MD. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who enjoys designing building electrical systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and seeing projects through from concept to construction.

Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems for commercial, government, higher education, research, industrial, and multifamily projects.
• Prepare construction drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform engineering calculations including load studies, voltage drop, panel schedules, transformer sizing, feeder sizing, lighting calculations, and generator sizing.
• Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Conduct field investigations and document existing site conditions.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients throughout the design process.
• Support projects through construction administration and project completion.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience designing building electrical systems.
• Experience with commercial, institutional, government, healthcare, industrial, laboratory, or multifamily projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of electrical calculations, power distribution, lighting design, and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with SKM, AGi
  32, Visual, or similar electrical analysis software is a plus.
• EIT certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
