Job OverviewAMT is seeking a Transportation Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience to join the transportation team at one of our Mid‑Atlantic office locations. LocationSelected candidates may work from the Towson, MD;
Rockville, MD;
Mechanicsburg, PA; or Herndon, VA office locations, with a hybrid schedule allowing up to 2 days from home each week.
- Support a variety of projects, including data collection, existing condition and alternative analysis, and engineering reports.
- Develop horizontal and vertical alignments.
- Perform cross section and superelevation design, roadside barrier design, ADA curb ramp design, roadway modeling.
- Provide design support for erosion and sediment control plans, stormwater management plans, right‑of‑way plans, utility relocation plans, permit application drawings, and traffic‑related plans.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in roadway, highway, and traffic control plan preparation.
- Engineering‑in‑Training (EIT/FE) preferred.
- Experience with Micro Station Open Roads Designer or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co‑workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members.
