Roadway PM

Our client is a well-established engineering firm seeking a Transportation Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate brings a Professional Engineer license along with hands-on experience managing roadway and highway design projects. This is an opportunity to lead multi-discipline teams on transportation infrastructure work across the region.

• - Direct multi-discipline teams through the full lifecycle of transportation design projects.
• - Act as the main point of contact between clients, outside agencies, and internal project staff.
• - Coordinate technical resources and subconsultants across active projects.
• - Build project budgets, pricing, and proposals for upcoming work.
• - Create and manage project schedules and overall project plans.
• - Run client meetings and present project updates.
• - Conduct quality control reviews on deliverables before submission.
• - Mentor junior engineers and support broader business development efforts.

• - Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington DC.
• - 8 to 12 years of experience preparing roadway, highway, or traffic control plans.
• - Demonstrated project management background on transportation design work.
• - Proficient in Micro Station/Open Roads or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• - Experience mentoring junior staff is a plus.
• - Prior involvement in proposal development and business development preferred.
