Packaging Engineer

We are looking for a Packaging Engineer who can translate packaging concepts and technical requirements into structured, data-driven trials and actionable recommendations. The role will involve working across the pre-trial planning, trial execution, technical assessment and post-trial knowledge capture cycle. You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure trials are well planned, objectively evaluated and translated into clear recommendations.

• Develop and maintain trial protocols and readiness plans.
• Conduct pre-trial technical risk assessments and identify potential technical challenges.
• Define trial success criteria, acceptance parameters and measurement requirements.
• Develop sample, material and resource requirement plans.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure technical and operational readiness before trials.

• Provide on-site technical support during packaging trials.
• Observe and document trial execution, process conditions and outcomes.
• Maintain structured trial observation logs and data capture.
• Identify technical issues during trials and support root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate packaging and process performance against defined success criteria.
• Provide regular trial status updates and highlight risks, issues and required interventions.

• Analyse trial data and translate findings into meaningful technical insights.
• Assess packaging materials, processes and equipment performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, optimization and standardization.
• Develop practical recommendations based on trial outcomes, technical evidence and business requirements.
• Support scale-up decisions by clearly articulating technical risks, opportunities and next steps.

• Prepare comprehensive trial reports documenting methodology, results, observations and conclusions.
• Compare trial outcomes against agreed success criteria.
• Document key learnings, best practices and root causes.
• Develop and maintain standardized technical documentation and knowledge repositories.
• Support the creation of repeatable frameworks, templates and best practices for future trials.
