Position purpose - Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
The purpose of this position is to generate leads and gather information by phone to pass on to Loan Officers for further processing. Cold-calls potential clients and interested borrowers and answers telephones Makes appointments and maintains schedules and calendars for Loan Officers Gathers information needed for Loan Officers Maintains communication between Loan Officers and potential borrowers
A telemarketer is not allowed to perform the following activities. An individual who performs any of these acts through contact with the borrower or potential borrower will be in violation of state regulations and company policy, and subject to adverse action up to and including termination of employment.
- Solicit, place, negotiate or originate mortgage loan for themselves or others
- Solicit or offer to make a mortgage loan
- Explain or recommend specific terms, loan programs, or benefits of any mortgage loan available from or through a licensee or registrant whether or not the borrower has made or makes an application
- Obtain any personal or financial information on the borrower other than contact info (name, phone number, email) for purposes of referral
- Assist the borrower with the mortgage loan application, or other related documents
- Market oneself in any way as a Loan Officer
- Perform telemarketing activities unless script has been reviewed and approved by the Compliance Department
Qualifications:
- Ability to type documents from drafts prepared by others
- Experience making appointments and maintaining schedules and calendars for others
- Knowledge of office machinery and their operation
- Ability to maintain files
- Experience opening and routing mail and mailing correspondence
- Experience maintaining office supplies and inventory
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to communicate adequately via email, verbally, telephone, letter writing, etc.
- Ability to maintain a work schedule that may require working extended hours
Preferences:
- Ability to pass a background investigation
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to obtain licenses when required

Work Requirements Each employee must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, utilize a computer, maintain a work schedule, and effectively perform in an office setting.
To maintain and ensure secure privacy of borrower (and other protected) information, an essential function of this job may require physical attendance in a defined office space. (i.e. branch or corporate office location). Employment with PRMI requires compliance with and adherence to all applicable mortgage and fair lending laws and regulations as well as PRMI policies. The ability to work extended hours may be required.
