Job Description

Position Overview

The Clinical Fellow position is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role designed to support clinical services while the employee accrues supervised fieldwork hours toward BCBA certification. This role balances direct billable clinical work with a limited amount of non-billable administrative time, alongside structured training, supervision, and professional development.

Each Clinical Fellow is assigned a caseload of three (3) clients and one (1) special project.

Work Schedule
  • 40 hours per week total
  • 30 hours billable (direct client services and related clinical work)
  • 10 hours non-billable (administrative tasks not tied to a client)
  • Clinic hours five (5) days per week
  • Half-day clinic schedule during Saturday sessions when applicable
Billable vs. Non-Billable Time

As a Clinical Fellow, the majority of your scheduled hours are billable. Because this role carries clinical and supervisory responsibilities beyond direct sessions, billable time is defined broadly — it is rarely limited to time spent physically with a client.

Billable activities include:
  • Direct client sessions
  • Supervision (provided and received)
  • Treatment plan development and writing
  • Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) writing
  • 1:1 parent coaching sessions
  • Work completed during client cancellations (e.g., covering another session, case management, or other clinical tasks assigned by a supervisor)
Non-billable activities include:
  • Checking and responding to email
  • Organizing toys, materials, or other physical clinic resources
  • General administrative tasks not tied to a specific client or client material

Clinical Fellows are rarely expected to use non-billable time, given the breadth of activities classified as billable above.

Compensation Structure
  • 30 hours/week at $27/hour (billable)
  • 10 hours/week at $20/hour (non-billable)
Pay Frequency Amount

Weekly Pay $1,010

Semi-Monthly Pay (24/year) $2,188.33

Annual Salary Equivalent $52,520

Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Two (2) weeks / 80 hours of PTO
  • PTO does not require accrual
  • May be used for personal, illness, or rest time with supervisor approval

PTO Valuation:

  • 80 hours × blended hourly rate ($25.25) = $2,020
Paid Holidays

In addition to PTO, Clinical Fellows receive paid time off for the following company holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day (July 4th)
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

Holidays are paid at the non-billable rate ($20/hour).

Holiday pay does not replace or reduce PTO allocation; both are provided separately.

Leadership Role & Core Values

The Clinical Fellow is a leadership position within The House Project. Clinical Fellows are expected to model and exemplify THP's core values — Leadership, Positivity, Quality Services, and Compassion — in their interactions with clients, families, and staff, and to set the clinical and professional standard for the team.

Job Duties

Clinical Fellow expectations mirror the standard RBT Job Description, with additional leadership and clinical responsibilities reflecting this role's supervisory scope and fieldwork standing.
