Overview

The PLM Transformation Lead is responsible for driving enterprise-wide Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) transformation initiatives across business, technology, and operations. This role owns the PLM vision, roadmap, and execution, ensuring alignment with business strategy, digital transformation goals, and product innovation outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Define and own the end-to-end PLM transformation roadmap aligned with business objectives
  • Lead PLM modernization programs (legacy to next-gen PLM, cloud PLM, Model-Based Enterprise)
  • Establish PLM governance, operating models, KPIs, and best practices
  • Drive standardization of product data, processes, and systems across business units
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive sponsors and senior leadership
  • Translate business needs into scalable PLM capabilities
  • Lead cross-functional workshops covering requirements, design, and change readiness
  • Manage stakeholders across R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, and IT
  • Lead selection, implementation, and rollout of PLM platforms such as:
  • PTC Windchill
  • Oracle / SAP PLM
  • CAD/CAE/CAM integrations
  • ERP, MES, ALM, and SCM integrations
  • Digital Thread / Digital Twin strategies
  • Partner with enterprise and solution architects on system design
  • Manage vendor partners, system integrators, and offshore/onshore teams
  • Ensure delivery within scope, budget, and timeline
  • Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and change impacts
  • Lead organizational change management for PLM transformation
  • Drive user adoption, training strategies, and communication plans
  • Establish PLM Centers of Excellence (CoE) and support models
  • Measure adoption, PLM value realization, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • Graduation
  • Core Skills-
  • Strong expertise in PLM platforms and ecosystems
  • Deep understanding of engineering and product development processes
  • Experience with large-scale digital / ERP / PLM transformations
  • Strong program and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
  • Technical & Domain Knowledge-
  • Data governance, master data, and interoperability standards
  • Leadership & Soft Skills-
  • Proven leader capable of influencing without authority
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Change leadership and transformation mindset
  • Experience working in global, matrixed organizations
Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is between $71,000 to $136,500 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
