PMP PMI Certified

Must currently possess a Project, Program, Portfolio, or Agile management certificate from the Project Management Institute.

Public Safety projects (Police, Fire, 911, Corrections)

Managing large, high profile and sensitive projects

Experience working in a government entity (Federal, State or Local)

Previous experience managing business process implementations, software and/or hardware implementation and upgrade projects using Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies

Experience creating and managing project documentation as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI)

Experience in creating and managing project deliverables and documents (SDLC and PMI)

Microsoft Project Server and Share Point

Experience with development, management, communication, and support of public safety systems

  • seeking a highly qualified Senior Project Manager to support the management, coordination, and communication of all Public Safety projects
    .
  • This role will also provide day-to-day oversight of Public Safety initiatives within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), including all related OIT project work.
  • The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing projects in the Public Safety domain and hold an active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Project Manager will:
  • Manage assigned Public Safety (e.g. Police, Fire, 911, Corrections) technology projects, ensuring alignment with County and OIT objectives.
  • Perform day-to-day project management activities, including tracking progress, identifying issues and risks, and recommending effective mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all project work remains within scope, meets requirements, and is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Identify and manage project critical paths, milestones, testing phases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Recommend and implement solutions to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance levels.
  • Monitor and resolve project issues, maintaining accurate and timely status reports for stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, professional communications, including written documentation, reports, and presentations.
  • Develop agendas, prepare meeting handouts, and facilitate productive project meetings.
Minimum Qualifications/Skill Sets

The candidate must have documented experience on their resumes in the following areas.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of successful project management experience leading large, high- profile, and sensitive initiatives.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Demonstrated experience managing business process implementations
