Position: Site Supervisor (Grain Packing Facility) – WA

Reporting to the Managing Director, this position will undertake operational tasks to ensure the efficient, compliant, and safe handling and container packing of grain at the Grass Valley Great Western Handling (GWH) site.

The site is located in the Avon Industrial Park, 10km east of Northam, near the new CBH Meenaar receival site. The park is rapidly developing as an agricultural and logistics hub, with the GWH facility situated in a prime location within the park.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Oversee the successful operation of the facility in conjunction with the Managing Director.

Safely achieve operational targets and strategic goals.

Develop and implement grain receival and packing schedules.

Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards, production methods, HR/IR, and OH&S requirements, in collaboration with the MD.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Undertake training as an Authorised Officer (AO) to inspect empty containers and ensure compliant loading of grain for export as required by AQIS.

Complete training as a licensed fumigator to execute fumigation protocols mandated by AQIS.

Maintain high standards of grain quality and quantity.

Provide hands-on assistance, including basic mechanical maintenance of equipment when needed.

Manage operations within the allocated budget to meet financial goals without unexpected expenses.

Assist with employee induction and training processes.

Manage and coordinate site staff effectively.

Build and foster positive relationships with growers, transport operators, and external partners.

Contribute to developing plans, risk assessments, work instructions, and audits, ensuring compliance with GWH policies and procedures.

Maintain high standards of site, office, and asset hygiene and professionalism.

Perform other duties as assigned.
