Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week psychiatric hospital assignment, requiring a minimum of 2 years of BH/Psych experience and availability for evening and day shifts.

Job Details

• Psychiatric hospital setting with a 337-bed facility,

• Behavioral Health unit with potential float to inpatient units based on patient census,

• Serves all age populations when scheduling requires,

• Day shifts: 7:00-15:30 and evening shifts: 15:00-23:30 (5x8-hour shifts),

• Every other weekend commitment required,

• Floating within scope to other units is expected,

• No on-call requirements,

• Charting performed in Sunrise EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Minimum 2 years of Behavioral Health or Psychiatric nursing experience required (3 years strongly preferred),

• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start,

• Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration,

• Two professional references required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Nursing staff at The Retreat wear business casual attire; however, navy scrubs should be kept on hand in the event of a float to an inpatient unit,

• RNs may be required to serve as charge nurse during a shift,

• Schedule is set by the manager based on unit needs; pre-approved time off requests will be honored per contract, with additional requests requiring shift swaps with coworkers,

• Travelers are expected to fulfill essential worker duties during inclement weather events; facility provides sheltering and food support during such events,
