Travel RN - Psychiatric

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Health Float Pool position at a 337-bed psychiatric facility in Maryland, requiring at least 2 years of nursing experience including psychiatric/behavioral health background.

Job Details

• Works within a float pool covering all 19 inpatient behavioral health units at a 337-bed psychiatric hospital,

• Patient population spans children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient behavioral health units,

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30,

• Every other weekend required,

• Floating to any of the 19 inpatient units is expected and required,

• No on-call requirements,

• Charting system:
Sunrise,

• Free employee parking available on campus,

• Local candidates are accepted,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact RN license currently in hand,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required,

• At least 6 months to 1 year of psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience required,

• Strong clinical judgment, patient assessment, delegation, and leadership skills required,

• A copy of driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration,

• Two professional references required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Float pool nurses are expected to function as among the more experienced clinicians across all 19 inpatient units,

• RNs may be required to serve in the charge nurse role during a shift,

• Fingerprinting must be completed in Maryland prior to start,

• Scrub color:
Navy Blue,

• Up to 1 pre-approved RTO request is permitted for the duration of the contract,
