Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse - Night Shift Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), with every other weekend required.

We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) for night shifts. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience, although those with less experience but strong skills and active certifications will be considered. This position involves caring for high‑risk deliveries and requires proficiency in related clinical skills and procedures.

• Provide comprehensive care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Assist with high‑risk deliveries and perform essential procedures as needed.
• Monitor patient vitals and fetal heart rates using advanced technologies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary medical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state.
• ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP certifications required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
• Must be comfortable responding to emergencies and performing required procedures.
