Travel Nurse RN – Labor and Delivery

GHR Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join a high‑volume maternity team in the Baltimore‑area for a 13‑week contract in Towson, Maryland.

• Duration: 13 weeks (contract)
• Shifts:
  
  3 shifts per week, 12‑hour day shifts (36 hours per week)
• Pay: $1,770 – $1,870 per week

• Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state
• Minimum 1 year of recent, high‑volume Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Strong clinical assessment, maternal‑fetal monitoring, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication, patient education, and teamwork skills in a fast‑paced perinatal environment
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and postpartum/newborn experience preferred

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns across the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum phases.
• Perform maternal and fetal monitoring, recognize changes in condition, and appropriately elevate care.
• Assist physicians and midwives during labor, deliveries, and urgent obstetric procedures.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed while following safety protocols.
• Offer patient and family education and emotional support to promote a positive birth experience.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient charts and electronic medical records.
