Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with a commitment to the facility's scheduling needs.

Job Description:

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The RN will utilize specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to patients, taking into account their physical and developmental needs. This role is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others under their direction.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
• Implement nursing interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and modify care plans as necessary.
• Document nursing care and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Supervise and guide the nursing team in providing high-quality care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2+ years of recent high volume Labor and Delivery experience.
• Must be willing to obtain Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certification within 48 hours if offered.
• Must be willing to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification within 48 hours if offered.
• COVID vaccination required, with no declinations accepted.
• Active RN license in Maryland.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
• Active certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM).
• Active NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
