We are seeking a candidate who will be responsible for Maryland R&D site portfolio and project management. The Maryland R&D site will be initially focusing on the discovery of novel drug candidates, including ADC, for the treatment of cancer, renal, cardiovascular, and immune system diseases. The successful candidate will work directly with corporate partners, cross-functional teams and project teams to support our overall pipeline.
Responsibilities- Assist in implementing early discovery portfolio management strategies to maximize the value of Hansoh Bio's overall pipeline;
- Lead cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders to assess and prioritize projects based on scientific merit, strategic fit, commercial potential, and resource availability;
- Develop, monitor, and control cross-functional and cross-regional research project plans, ensuring alignment across functions and effective management of project risks;
- Identify, actively manage, and resolve project issues; provide scenario analysis and mitigation plans when timelines, resources, or priorities change;
- Align portfolio and project goals and deliverables across functional areas and support effective workload and resource planning;
- Drive cross-functional and cross-regional teams to execute research projects against agreed milestones and timelines and, where applicable, within budget;
- Maintain accountability for assigned portfolio and project timelines and proactively follow up to ensure team members meet agreed commitments;
- Schedule and facilitate cross-functional and cross-regional project team and functional lead meetings, with clear agendas and meeting minutes capturing decisions and action items;
- Monitor and report progress of assigned portfolio and project activities, milestones, risks, and forecasts to management.
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related life-science field; candidates with a relevant Master's degree may also be considered;
- Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience, with some exposure to early discovery, discovery research, preclinical research, or new product development and participation in multidisciplinary R&D teams;
- Strong hands-on experience in R&D Project Management, Program Management, Portfolio Management, or as a Project/Program Lead for research or product development projects;
- Strong cross-regional communication and coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across geographically distributed R&D teams; strong meeting facilitation, stakeholder management, organizational, and prioritization skills;
- Proven ability to identify and resolve project issues related to timing, resources, and funding, and to facilitate cross-functional decision-making;
- Ability and willingness to be based in Maryland.
