J.F. Taylor, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Site Security Manager (SSM) who will evolve into a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) after certification of spaces. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and security of program personnel and sensitive information while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
As an SSM/CPSO, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing security policies, procedures, and protocols that align with industry standards and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of security operations, risk management, and facility protection to proactively identify vulnerabilities and mitigate potential threats. You will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of security awareness while training and supervising security staff.

The SSM will serve as a subject matter expert (SME), working with third‑party security consultants, architects, and facility construction experts to perform quality control for the program authorizing official, ensuring target installation site(s) remain secure throughout the construction process.
Upon completion of the secure spaces, the role will evolve to become the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO). The CPSO will provide J.F. Taylor program employees and their customers/partners with program security support and facilitate compliance of associated programs mainly located at a Great Mills, MD facility location with additional duties aligned in Dayton, OH.
Responsibilities- Develop, implement and manage efforts for the execution of security operations across two facilities and several programs. Required support includes the implementation of Personnel Security, Physical Security, Information Assurance (IA), Communications Security (COMSEC), and Visitor Control primarily at the Great Mills, MD location but with cognizance over multiple program locations. Develop and revise program‑level security plans, procedures, and instructions, as well as ensure their consistent application.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
- Oversee the access control system and ensure that all personnel adhere to security clearance protocols.
- Investigate security incidents, preparing detailed reports and making recommendations for follow‑up action. Coordinate with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies regarding security‑related matters and incidents.
- Provide training and guidance to personnel on best practices and emergency response procedures.
- Develop security awareness programs for program employees to foster a secure working environment.
- Interpret and enforce Government and company security policies to protect and enable program execution.
- Oversee classification guidance to employees; develop and provide security education and awareness training; conduct security briefings; lead security self‑inspections and audits; and investigate security incidents.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 5+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 3+ years experience, to include 3+ years of security office administration and facility security experience. Additional relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security role, preferably within the Defense industry, including experience obtaining and maintaining classified SAPF and SCIF spaces.
