Overview
As a Security Officer Medical Patrol Unit in Towson, MD
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service and communication while contributing to a caring, reliable, and team-focused culture built on integrity and innovation.

Pay Rate: $20.40 / Hour
Job Schedule
Day Time Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Tue 02:00 PM - 10:15 PM
Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting security-related concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, staff, and vendor movement to help to deter unauthorized entry and support site protocols.
- Support a professional environment by reporting hazards, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
