Enterprise - Full Stack Software Engineer - Java, API, Spring
We are seeking engineers who wish to grow their careers and want to become part of a technically strong and growth-oriented company focused on bringing innovative solutions to mission problems facing our customers. The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex software systems based on documented requirements. Works individually or as part of a team. Reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements and documents test results.
Resolves software problem reports. Provides input to system design, including hardware/software trade-offs and the use of COTS/GOTS where appropriate.
- Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
- Debug existing software and correct defects
- Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add features
- Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or environments
- Develop simple data queries for databases or data repositories
- Write or review software and system documentation
- Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the process in use
- Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries
- Develop or implement algorithms to meet performance and functional standards
- Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components
- Modify existing software to correct errors or adapt to new hardware or improve performance
- Design, develop and modify software systems using appropriate analytical methods
- Java
- Springboot
- Swing/GUI development
- JSON serialization/deserialization with Jackson or gson
- Testing: JUNIT and Mockito
- Proficiency with Python standard libraries
- Familiarity with Python data science packages
- Containerization and Kubernetes mindset
- Gitlab experience
- Niagara Files programming experience
A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position. Seven (7) years of SWE experience in programs of similar scope is required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may substitute for a bachelor's degree.
