OverviewPrescient Edge is seeking a Sr. Applications Programmer to support a Federal Government client.
Note: The availability of this position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities- Create software applications, test and evaluate applications, and tweak and improve applications to make them user-friendly.
- Assist in the definition, development, testing, analysis, and maintenance of new or existing software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements.
- Write, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications.
- Interact with customers to determine requirements, prepare software and training manuals, and train users.
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
- Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
- May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.
- May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
- Desired experiences:
Has at least 10 years of experience performing work related to the labor category functional description. - Education:
BS/BA degree in technical or scientific discipline. - Security Clearance:
Security clearance required TOP SECRET.
