PositionsBeach and Parks Manager – Miami Beach and Rocky Point Beach (Summer Seasonal Employment).
Schedule40 hours per week – Summer Season.
Locations- Miami Beach – 4001 Bay Drive, Middle River, Maryland 21220.
- Rocky Point Beach – 2200 Rocky Point Road, Essex, Maryland 21221.
Under general supervision, will manage the operation and supervision of the Miami Beach and Rocky Point Beach facilities.
EssentialJob Duties
- Supervise, schedule, and train Assistant Beach Managers, lifeguards, and cashiers.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for the proper functioning of the facility.
- Monitor cashiers and verify daily transactions, reports, and deposits.
- Make bank deposits.
- Supervise rentals of watersports equipment.
- Supervise and lead programs.
- Deal with customers as situations arise.
- Safeguard swimmers and non‑swimmers using beach and park facilities.
- Enforce swimming and facility rules and regulations to the public.
- Keep facilities clean and free from hazards.
- Alert patrons to changing weather and water conditions.
- Perform routine tasks as assigned (such as cleaning bathrooms, removing trash from barrels, cleaning grills and grounds, and minor maintenance).
- Lead programs for the public and various groups.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications- Must be at least 18 years of age by May 1, 2026.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays throughout the summer, with days off on weekdays.
- Must have reliable transportation; facilities are not located on public transportation lines.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, physical, and drug test.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must have current Lifeguard Certification by May 1, 2026.
- Must have current First Aid/CPR/AED by May 1, 2026.
- Must have Waterfront Skills Certification by May 1, 2026.
- Three (3) years of lifeguarding experience.
- Prior experience in Customer Service.
- Applicants with the ability to work the entire season (Memorial Day to Labor Day) will be considered first.
Applicants selected for employment with Baltimore County must successfully complete a physical examination, drug screening, and employment investigation, including, but not limited to, criminal background, education certification, and fingerprinting checks.
Other NotesSeasonal Non‑Merit positions are not classified within the Baltimore County Government Classification and Compensation Plan and are not included in the Employees’ Benefits Plan.
