Position Title: Shuttle Bus Driver – CDL (Day Shift 8:00am – 4:00pm) – Loyola University Maryland, Baltimore, MD. Regular full‑time, with remote/hybrid options for eligible in‑state applicants.

Schedule:
Campus shuttle routes, 14/25/40 passenger buses. Scheduled routes with optional charter duties. Work hours 8:00am – 4:00pm. Mileage based on routes; base pay $21.70 – $27.13 per hour.
- Safely drive students, faculty, and staff around campus and other routes.
- Adhere to scheduled routes and provide additional help during rush hours.
- Fuel, clean, and maintain the bus; conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections.
- Document all paperwork legibly and on time.
- Use the Trans Loc GPS system to display destinations and navigate.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment; engage riders with friendly service.
- Attend monthly driver meetings and complete Department of Transportation training.
- Comply with campus and CDL regulations and complete yearly physicals and mandatory training.
- Assist in driver clearance processes and support institutional diversity goals.
- High school diploma or GED (required).
- CDL with B, P, and air‑brake endorsements (required).
- 1–3 years of commercial driving experience; 1 year of CDL‑B‑P with air‑brake endorsement preferred.
- Driving record must be good; five years of experience preferred.
- Customer service and defensive driving skills.
- Ability to work independently, adapt to a flexible schedule, and handle charters.
- Experience operating 14/25/40 passenger buses and knowledge of wheelchair lift operation.
- Knowledge of campus and transportation regulations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; courteous toward riders and colleagues.
- Working within a university setting.
- Proficiency with Trans Loc or similar GPS platforms.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States; must complete employment eligibility verification by the first day of employment.
- Loyola University Maryland does not sponsor employment visas for this position.
- Work requires some physical exertion and exposure to outdoor elements and noise while operating vehicles.
- May involve occasional adverse weather conditions.
