- Perform jobsite safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance
- Track and follow up on corrective actions to support incident prevention
- Assist in developing safe work plans, task hazard analyses, and site-specific procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety programs
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and training to field teams
- Serve as a safety resource for employees and project leadership
- Promote a strong safety culture through engagement and accountability
- Maintain safety documentation, reporting, and records
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of construction experience and 1+ year in a safety role (3+ years preferred)
- Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards and construction safety practices
- Strong communication, organization, and training skills
- Ability to identify risks, make decisions, and take proactive action
- OSHA 30, 500, EM385, CHST, or equivalent; CPR/First Aid Trainer; OSHA 510 (within 6 months) - Required
- OSHA 500, CHST, or other relevant safety certifications
- Preferred - Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Preferred - Associate degree in Occupational Health & Safety
- Preferred - Background screening, drug-free workplace, and possible post-offer physical and site-specific background check
Demonstrates expertise in conducting safety inspections, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, and delivering effective training to promote a strong safety culture. Proficient in developing safe work plans and maintaining safety documentation.
