At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer to work with a leading company in the construction sector. This is a local position focused on ensuring safety performance and compliance on construction sites, with a preference for candidates experienced in Amazon projects.

• 8-10 hour shifts, 5-6 days per week is normal.

• 40.00 - 45.00 USD hourly

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a closely related field with at least 3 years of full-time construction safety management experience.
• Alternatively, a board-certified safety credential (CSP, CIH, ASP, CHST, or equivalent) with at least 5 years of full-time construction safety management experience.
• Alternatively, a current OSHA 500 certification (or Canadian equivalent) with at least 6 years of full-time construction safety management experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Collaborate with operations and site management to align initiatives with safety performance goals.
• Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with health and safety programs.
• Review accident and injury data to identify needs for new or modified safety programs.
• Engage the workforce to enforce safe behaviors and maintain a positive safety culture.
• Provide guidance on compliance with health and safety regulations and participate in safety reviews for new projects or equipment.
