School Supervision Assistant Substitute - Yard Duty

Job Summary

Under general supervision, assists site staff and teachers to ensure the safety and well‑being of students. Supervises students in assigned areas such as the cafeteria, indoor and outdoor assembly areas, halls, restrooms, playgrounds, and in buses or other vehicles. Through meaningful site supervision enables students to safely enjoy group interaction and exercise during noon‑time eating and recess/break activities. Assists site staff with other related work as required.

CalPERS retirees cannot be in an on‑call substitute pool. Violations could include repayment of your retirement benefits to PERS (reference CalPERS Publication 33 - Employment After Retirement). To comply with PERS, we are not able have retirees as active substitutes. Substitutes applications will be reviewed in the order they are received and processed as needed. Applying does not guarantee placement on the sub list or selection to participate in the hiring process.
