Position Overview

Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating atmosphere for infants aged 6 weeks to 36 months. The teacher will design and implement age-relevant activities that support physical, emotional, cognitive, and social development while maintaining strong communication with parents and team members.

Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
    Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 ECE units required;
    Infant/Toddler units preferred.
  • Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and Montessori philosophy (preferred but not required).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Ability to pass a background check and meet licensing requirements.
  • Must be to provide references
  • Must have fingerprinting and health screening and TB test
  • Must be to lift up to 30 lbs
Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing age-appropriate Montessori activities and curriculum.
  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers.
  • Support children in developing independence, social skills, and emotional well-being.
  • Engage with children through interactive play, storytelling, and sensory activities.
  • Assist with diapering, feeding, and maintaining hygiene routines.
  • Observe and document children’s progress and communicate with parents effectively.
  • Ensure classroom cleanliness and organization in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
