Medical Insurance Collections Specialist

Position located in Tracy office, full-time Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

• Contact insurance companies regarding past due bills.
• Enter EOBs into the system and research returned claims.
• Conduct phone and written follow‑up on unpaid claims.
• Maximize amount of cash collected and minimize time in which it is collected.
• Research and resolve open accounts quickly and professionally.

• Medical Collections Experience minimum 1-2 years.
• Type 31-45 words per minute.
• Ability to read and interpret medical records.
• Knowledge of Endeavor and/or Medicare IVR.
• Knowledge of how to read and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
• Knowledge of HMO’s and PPO’s.
• Knowledge of patients’ medical records for determining correct Medicare criteria.

• Hourly rate pay range: $17.00 to $25.00.
• Annual base range: $35,360 to $52,000.
• Annual overtime range (5 to 10 hours per week @ 50 weeks): $6,375 – $18,750+.

  Abundance of overtime available.
• Bonuses:
  Production Bonus $0 to $1,000 per month;
  Profit Bonus $0 to $1,000 per month.
• Total compensation examples:
• Base: $41,735.00 (including 5 hrs O/T per week)
• Mid‑range: $60,555.00 (including 5 hrs O/T per week)
• Top: $82,375.00 (including 5 hrs O/T per week)
